  • Place to stay - visitor accomodations in Pembrey
    • Ship Aground Inn, Ashburnham Road, Pembrey name refers to the area's old ship wrecking days - part of the reason the graveyards are so big.
    • Pembrey Inn click on the small image above for a bigger photo, note the menu is posted outside.
  • Behind the pub is the embankment
    - a tramway taking yet more coal to Burry Port -- well a hundred years ago.
    - railway The Gwendraeth Valley Railway in its canal base - close to its terminus at Burry Port Harbour.  Over it passes the Great Western Railway line to West Wales and the Irish Ferry at Fishguard.
  • Bethel Chapel - getting a makeover - probably 5 people use this on a regular basis!
